Pluto is a dwarf planet in the Kuiper belt, officially denoted from its planet status in 2006. Despite having been subject to terraforming just like Mars, its surface is said to be freezing cold and compared to the South Pole, which is in line with there being Plutonian penguins (similarly how there are penguins at Earth’s South Pole). It is, however, difficult to assess the exact temperature there – native Plutonians wear thick, winter clothes, but Robby and Hatchi only initially comment about how cold it is before continuing in their usual attire. Likewise, Acting Managers Kodai and Morisugi also do not seem to be wearing any clothes adapted to low temperatures.

Pluto’s surface.

Plutonians have a social movement which gathers at the Main Street to protest the loss of their planet status and demand for Mondays to be renamed Plutodays, as they feel it is unfair that a day is named after a mere satellite (the Moon). However, the movement has no traction whatsoever – for this reason, the Pluto Travel Bureau hired an external advertising agency, Dontsu Inc. to manage their PR. As a result, they were bestowed with two promotional mascots, recycled from the past: Mr. Pluto and Ms. Denshi, both of them popular back in the day when Earthlings were researching nuclear reactors but now obsolete and forgotten. Another suggestion of Dontsu Inc. was to build a Matsu*** Memorial Hall (its completion date being constantly postponed) and to sell local speciality food: shave ice made from authentic Pluto ice, which tastes of nitrogen due to Pluto being 98% made of this element in frozen form.

Protesting Plutonians.

All these actions were a complete miss. For this reason the Pluto Travel Bureau's chief decided to ask Robby and Hatchi for their help after he saw their success on Mars. The duo’s suggestion was to brand Pluto as the planet of love using the already existing Tombaugh Regio[1], which is an ice field shaped like a heart. It was to be advertised as possessing magical love powers able to aid relationship facing troubles and attract tourists who needed such help. A short promotional video of it was even created, starring Hatchi and the Pluto Travel Bureau’s chief’s daughter.
The chief of the Pluto Travel Bureau was in general positive towards the suggested changes and although the discussion regarding the new marketing strategy was interrupted by Acting Managers of Dontsu and Robby and Hatchi left Pluto after confronting them, not waiting to see if their suggested plan was realised, the sixth drama CD reveals the actions were successfully implemented and Pluto became famous.
