Two young boys once wished on shooting stars together. At night in the student council room, Kinshirou is reminiscing and renews his vow to conquer the Earth. On the other hand, the Defense Club is engaged in a conversation without substance at the Kurotama Bath. When they learn the old man who was there is actually a high school student, they continue to talk about old faces in the club room as well. Suddenly, a mysterious field envelops the school, transforming the high school students into elementary schoolers. While the Defense Club is bewildered by this sudden change, what appears in front of them is...!
Synopsis[edit]
Hill[edit]
Lying in the grass at night, a young Kinshirou and Atsushi watch the sky during a meteor shower. Atsushi says his older sister told him that if you make a wish on a shooting star three times before it disappears, it will come true. Kinshirou at first says this is childish as he hears Atsushi's wish, but then makes a wish of his own.
Binan High School[edit]
Student Council Room[edit]
Akoya and Ibushi interrupt Kinshirou's quiet moment of looking at the stars from the dark student council room. They ask if he's wishing for anything, to which he responds "world domination."
Kurotama Bath[edit]
Yumoto is washing Wombat because he stinks as En and Atsushi look on from the bath. After Wombat escapes into the bath, Atsushi and En tell Yumoto to give up, and that he's acting like a kid. Atsushi asks Yumoto about his dream for the future, to which Yumoto says he wants to be a super hero, proving their point. Wombat leaves the bath with Mr. Tawarayama.
The boys continue to delve into the ways that Yumoto is a kid, while Oyaji Igarao enters the bathing area. Then, the conversation turns to one about En being mature, and he's concerned that he looks old.
Everyone starts splashing themselves with buckets of water while laughing and talking about being young, leading Oyaji to exit the bath. Yumoto apologizes to him for being loud, calling him Mister. However, En and Atsushi correct him after he leaves, that Oyaji is a high school student.
After Oyaji leaves the Kurotama, he talks to himself, recollecting the times he's been confused for an older man and made fun of. The student council watches, and decides that he will be their next target. On Lord Zundar's arrival, they hit Oyaji with a needle.
The next day, Yumoto greets Gora as he leaves for school early.
Binan High School[edit]
Club Room[edit]
Yumoto cuddles Wombat while the others question why he doesn't put his energy into something else. En is still hung up on if he has an old-looking face. Atsushi lists different anime characters that look old but are actually young in an effort to cheer him up. Wombat uses this as an opportunity to escape with Mr. Tawarayama.
School Grounds[edit]
On the roof, the Pretty Boy Monster unleashes a dark energy field over the school.
Club Room[edit]
Yumoto starts cuddling and tickling En because Wombat left, and Atsushi joins in. Io also wants to join in, but instead tackles Ryuu to the floor and tickles him.
Caught up in the laughter, they realize that they have all turned into elementary schoolers. Wombat reenters to announce the situation, only to be shocked at the transformation.
School Grounds[edit]
The Defense Club exits the school to find the whole student body has been transformed into elementary schoolers, and are running about in a panic. Yumoto notices the Pretty Boy Monster on the roof.
The five transform, but find that their Battle Lover outfits didn't shrink with them, and are instead baggy. After giving their introductions, Yumoto tries sending out his attack, but his attack doesn't reach the roof. The Pretty Boy Monster sends out attacks of his own, and the Battle Lovers are helpless to stop them.
When they realize the monster is Oyaji and call him by his nickname, the monster gets angry and turns the Battle Lovers into kindergartners. The Battle Lovers have no choice but to strip off their costumes, revealing conveniently placed leaves for censorship.
The Pretty Boy Monster is about to attack again, but Yumoto realizes the monster's face is an illusion, and that he would never be a pretty boy when young. This startles the monster and gives the Battle Lovers enough time to combine their Love Sticks for Yumoto to perform the Love Attack. The monster is sent flying off the roof, his illusion gone, revealing he still looks like an older man. Yumoto then performs the Love Shower.
Once Oyaji is turned back to normal, the Battle Lovers' ages have been restored, but they are still naked. They decide to go to the bath.
Caerula Adamas looks on from the roof, disappointed that their plans were foiled once again. Kinshirou looks at the sky, once again reminiscing about being an elementary schooler.
The Kurotama Bath[edit]
Yumoto is once again washing Wombat in the bathing area. Oyaji enters in a chipper mood. Ryuu is afraid he'll recognize them as the Battle Lovers, but Io reassures him that their faces were disguised. Upon being asked why he's happy, Oyaji reveals he got a girlfriend. He confirms Ryuu's speculation that she likes older men, and says she wished on a star to meet a wonderful man. This reminds Atsushi about the wish he made on a shooting star when he was younger, that he wanted to be a superhero. He then wonders what Kinshirou wished for. Yumoto continues washing Wombat.

Quotes[edit]
Akoya: I see. I feel powerful dark energy from him.
Yumoto: That's not fun.
Ryuu: Why not pick up girls?
Atsushi: Hey, are you still stuck on that, En-chan?
En: But that was the first time in my life I've been told my face looks old. People had only described me as "hot" or "gorgeous" before.
Trivia & References[edit]
- 草津錦史郎と鬼怒川熱史は実は幼なじみだった。。。
流星群のあの日、錦史郎が流れ星に願った事とは。。。 - Kinshirou Kusatsu and Atsushi Kinugawa were actually childhood friends...
On the day of the meteor shower, Kinshirou wished for...
The blue bars at the end of the episode have the text:
- 新キャラ登場!マスコミ研究会部長の城崎、カメラマン田沢
今ここに、すごく面白い書いたけど面白すぎてボツになりました。残念。。。 - New characters appear! Press Society Director Kinosaki and cameraman Tazawa.
I wrote something really interesting here, but it was too funny and had to be scrapped. Such a shame...
Io: Oh? Was that artificial baldness?
Atsushi: Yes, they thought being bald made you look more adult.
- The hairstyle Atsushi is referring to is the chonmage.[1] Text appears on screen during the episode that this is his individual opinion about forelock-shaving.
Io: No, it would just look like a miso commercial.
Yumoto: What does that mean?
Atsushi: The savior of the century's end with seven stars on his chest, the cynical #2 of the Science Ninja Team, and the protagonist's dark-skinned friend voiced by Iizuka Shouzou in that robot war story are all 18, too.
- Atsushi is referencing actual anime in this scene. The first character being referred to is Anago from Sazae-san. However, the subtitles are phrased in such a way that it seems like Atsushi is referring to the husband, Masuo.
- The second character is Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star. The third character is Joe the Condor (G-2) from Science Ninja Team Gatchaman. The fourth character is Ryu Jose from Mobile Suit Gundam.
- Unagi is a freshwater eel, and anago is saltwater eel.[4] This seems like a nonsensical line out of context, but confirms that Atsushi was in fact referencing Anago from Sazae-san.
