Atsushi Kinugawa (鬼怒川 熱史, Kinugawa Atsushi) is a third year student at Binan High School. He transforms into Battle Lover Epinard.

Appearance

Atsushi has short, dark blue hair and brown eyes. He wears brown glasses.

His school uniform consists of a white, button down shirt, a dark red tie, and a black blazer with white buttons and trim. The school's insignia is on the left sleeve. He wears black slacks and a brown belt, and brown loafers.

Atsushi has a Lovracelet on his left wrist. It is a white bracelet with a green heart in a gold frame, with white wings on either side and a small, golden crown on top.

During the second season, his Lovracelet is replaced with a True Lovracelet. The white bracelet is thicker. The green heart still has a golden border and crown and white wings, but has an added golden heart with gold wings on the bottom.

Battle Lover Epinard

When transformed into Battle Lover Epinard, Atsushi wears a white shirt with short, puffed sleeves that have green cuffs above the elbows. He has a standing white collar, surrounded by a sailor-inspired collar in green that hangs down to cover his shoulder blades. At his neck is a green bow with a larger version of his Lovracelet. Below this is a white frill that goes down the front of his shirt. His six knee-length coattails are white on the outside and green on the inside. The whole shirt has black piping to separate the green from the white. Atsushi wears white gloves and a brown belt with a decoration that resembles part of a sling for a sword's sheath. He wears long pants tucked into his boots. His green knee-high boots have cuffs around the calves. The soles are a lighter green.

Upon turning into his More Better form in Season One Episode Twelve, all green aspects of his outfit turn into a pale gold except for the gem on his brooch, which remains green. He gains a pair of white angel wings on his back.

In season two, more of Battle Lover Epinard's outfit becomes green, such as the shoulders, standing collar, and coattails. The standing collar has black piping at the base. There are four gold buttons on his shirt, and no black piping. Once again, the green bow has a larger version of his True Lovracelet. There are frills around the bow that go over his shoulders and meet black piping on his back, replacing the sailor collar, in addition to frills on his gloves, which now have green cuffs around the wrists. The back of his coat now has white, puffy fabric wings at his waist. There is a green feather hanging from his belt. His boots are still green knee-highs, but the cuffs now are cut into a point in the front where there are two layers of frills. There is black trim around the ankles that meets at the front in a point.

Upon turning into his Ultra More Better form in Season Two Episode Twelve, all green aspects of his outfit turn into a pale gold except for the gem on his brooch, which remains green. He gains two sets of fluffy, pink wings--one set on his shoulder blades, the other replacing the fabric wings at his waist. The latter have a set of long, pink tails that end in feathers.
